If you haven’t seen the Netflix film “Knock Down the House”, we highly recommend it. It’s an amazing experience, following Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Amy Vilela, Cori Bush, and Paula Jean Swearengin as they ran insurgent, grassroots campaigns for Congress in the 2018 election. It’s inspirational, seeing these candidates fight through many barriers to get their message across to voters, while maintaining their sense of purpose and staying focused on trying to bring real change to American politics. And it has lots of lessons for organizers and organizations who are trying to produce real grassroots change in American.
This is precisely the sort of grassroots activism that we built Magnify to help organize. While there is no substitute for personal organizing to support your cause, we all know how hard and expensive personal canvassing can be for your organization or cause.
Magnify gives you a set of inexpensive and easy-to-use tools that you can use to connect your members and supporters to actions that your organization needs them to take. By connecting your members and supporters to Magnify, and getting them active on our platform, you can Magnify your organization and produce real change in your community.
There are many organizations now using Magnify, check out our recent video to see their stories. We hope that you’ll find the stories in our video, about how real people are using our platform to produce important changes in their community, as inspirational as the stories behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the other insurgent grassroots candidates in the 2018 election.
